Recycling is a core value at Technix. We are committed to being pro-active in making Safagrass™ - and our other products - an environmentally sound choice. Safagrass™ is made from 85+% recycled materials which not only reduces waste and conserves energy but also cuts out the greenhouse gasses produced during the manufacture of virgin materials.

Flame Retardant Safagrass™

Safagrass is designed to extinguish flames within 60 seconds.

Fire Retardant grass mats were the first flame retardant mats to be developed for playground safety surfaces. These improve playground vandalism as it reduces the flame spread in the event of a fire.

These mats are produced using a different fire retardant polymer and are similar to our standard Safagrass mats. Tested to EN ISO 11925-2 and EN ISO 9279-1 the mats comply with standard horizontal and vertical burn tests required when building regulations are to be met.

Installation

Before installation, please check if the product is suitable for the ground it will be used on as the CFH figure will be affected by a number of variables such as grass, moisture and soil type.
